So Tomlin gets fine 100 grand. Sounds about right. But if the NFL takes a draft choice(s) away, that would be a travesty. Your thoughts on these matters, plus what did you think of his statement/apology yesterday? We'll talk about it with Gerry Dulac at 1:30. Sid again shows why he's the best in the world. We'll talk about the Pens win with Paul Steigerwald at 1. The Pirates trade for C Chris Stewart relegates Tony Sanchez to the minors. I don't get it. I'll get the thoughts of Rob King at 12:30. Also today, local author Dale Grdnic has written a new book about the Steelers. Find out more at 1:15
The Steelers will play the remaining 4 games like it's the Super Bowl. I get that. But I would certainly hope we'll see some lineup alterations--meaning playing the younger guys more often.
What is your reaction to the Tomlin Two-Step on the sidelines?
I don't think I've ever seen a more miraculous play than the last one in the Auburn-Alabama game! Loved it!
And the Penguins are headed for a major dilemma when/if Tomas Vokoun returns.
Today, Coach Tom Bradley at 12:30, Mike Prisuta at 1:30, and Mr. Monday Night at 1:45
The meal tastes the same no matter the dishes you put it on. So many want to credit the no-huddle with the Steelers improved offense. Isn't it the improved play of the players, not the formation, that's responsible? We'll talk to Tom Bradley at 1230. Some are still contending that Antonio Brown isn't a "legit" number one wide receiver. Really?
I suppose if your glass is half full, you're happy with the one point the Penguins got last night. Is your glass half full? Mike Lange joins me at 1:00.
And was the Pirates only or best option with Garrett Jones to cut him?
Tomorrow will be a bit like a Friday. Since we won't be on the air either Thanksgiving Day or Friday, we're moving Fantasy Football to tomorrow with Duane the Brain at 12:30...so get your questions in now. And Matt Williamson will be joining us to preview the huge game between the Steelers and Dirty Birds. Plus Steigy talks Pens at 1
It's almost a 1 and done situation for the Steelers. Win, and the season still has relevance. Lose, and it's time for draft talk. Matt Williamson of ESPN.com breaks down Steelers/Browns at 1:30. There are 9 teams in contention for the 2nd wild card spot. Jets, Dolphins, Browns, Ravens, Titans, Chargers, Bills, Raiders, and the Steelers. Is it reasonable to suggest the Steelers are the best team of the group? Pens have 3 games in 4 days. Rob Rossi at 12:30. And at 1, it's Fantasy Football with Duane the Brain. Get your questions in!
All the attention has been on the Penguins' scoring drought. But what of their improved defensive play? 3rd fewest goals allowed in the Eastern Conference! Is that a tribute to assistant coach Jacques Martin?
But for a ping pong ball, the Penguins could have drafted Alex Ovechkin in the 2004 draft. But Washington had the ball bounce their way and took him with the 1st pick, and the Penguins then took Evgeni Malkin with the 2nd. Knowing what we know now, if the ball had bounced in the Pens direction, would you have taken Geno with that 1st pick, or selected Ovechkin?
Today, Mike White of the Post-Gazette will break down the WPIAL championship games at 12:30, Phil Bourque will talk Pens at 1, Gerry Dulac will talk Steelers football and a bit of Tiger Woods penchant for conveniently ignoring the rules of golf at 1:30. Plus I've got a couple of things weighing heavily on my mind which I will discuss on today's show as well!
